The Chair for Applied Mathematics and Numerics (LS3) is part of the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Dortmund. It is led by Prof. Dr. Turek and particularly concerned with the numerical simulation of partial differential equations by the finite element method. Further professors are junior professor Dr. Dmitri Kuzmin and Prof. Dr. Reimer(retired) .
