My research is in numerical analysis, more specifically in developing numerical methods for solving partial differential equations (PDEs). I have used finite element, finite volume, and discontinuous Galerkin methods for this purpose.
In recent years, the focus of my research has been on solving hyperbolic conservation laws. Here, I am specifically interested in entropy stable schemes and schemes for
meshes with embedded geometries (, i.e., in schemes that are stable on cut cells). Since lately, I am also working on optimal control problems again.
