My research is in numerical analysis, more specifically in developing numerical methods for solving partial differential equations (PDEs). I have used finite element, finite volume, and discontinuous Galerkin methods for this purpose. In recent years, the focus of my research has been on solving convection dominated problems, often in connection with hyperbolic PDEs / systems of conservation laws. I am both interested in
theoretical aspects (e.g., stability and error estimates) and practical
aspects (efficient implementation of the algorithms).
